LOK
KERK HWANG, a graduate from RMIT University
in Melbourne, Australia, was born in Batu Pahat, Johor,
Malaysia in 1973. He started learning watercolour since
he was 15 years old during his secondary school in Batu
Pahat. After 5 years of foundation watercolour skill and
sketches training received from his secondary art teacher
Mr. T.K.Chang, he decided to start his professional watercolour
painting career in 1993.
As
Signature Member of Canadian Society of Painters in Water
Colour (CSPWC) and Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA),
Member of Singapore Watercolour Society (SWS), The
Singapore Art Society (SAS) & Penang Water Colour Society
(PWCS), his watercolour talent is recognized by many prestige
competitions and exhibitions locally and abroad over the
past 20 years.
Lok is
now a Singapore Permanent Resident and working from his
studio in Singapore & Malaysia. He is actively
participating in exhibitions and competitions both locally
and aboard. His works are in the collections of corporates,
government, schools and many private individuals.
